This charmingly quirky movie has become a new favorite of mine. First off, Joey Potter stars in the movie as well as Seth Cohen - two equally great characters who I have dearly missed!!! The story is set in upstate New York where a group of college friends reunite to witness Lila's "greatest accomplishment," her wedding to Tom. As the movie unfolds you begin to understand the meaning behind the movie's title. It is evident that the characters are very close to one another, but it isn't until Laura reveals, in her speech at the rehearsal dinner, that their group of friends was given the name the romantics due to their incestuous dating history. Without saying too much...the drama unfolds...
The film's wardrobe was largely supplied by J.crew, which is probably why every character's look is so sharp and dapper. There is a lot to love about this movie, the cast, the fashion, the house, the music, but the best part are the character's names - Trippler and Minnow to name a few. Rent the movie, you won't be disappointed!
